Performance Marketing Manager – Tread Labs

Tread Labs designs, manufactures and sells supportive footwear for all walks of life. We sell D2C on our website and B2B through a fast-growing network of footwear and outdoor retailers. We are obsessed with quality and service and our rapid growth proves that those values still matter. We are an ‘open-book’ company where financials are shared and profit sharing is built in. We are located just north of Boston in Woburn, MA.

Tasks and Responsibilities
You will manage a marketing coordinator who is ready to assist with the following tasks, but make no mistake, you must roll up your sleeves and execute with the rest of us.
- Creative/Art Direction
- Storytelling – You will be the master storyteller for Tread Labs. Build the Tread Labs brand and increase sales by creating compelling narratives that strike an emotional chord.
- Graphic design – Contribute to website, packaging and collateral design.
- Content creation – Manage contracted influencers, photographers and videographers to create compelling, on-brand content.
- Site traffic
- Email/SMS – Determine strategies, create templates, execute flows and campaigns with Klaviyo. Create and stay ahead of the content calendar.
- SEO – Use available tools (SEMrush) to help guide our organic acquisition strategy. Manage content (blog) creators. Outsource technical SEO efforts as necessary.
- Ad management – Manage our Google/Bing ad campaigns and budgets. Ensure strong ROI and smooth customer journeys.
- Affiliate management – Manage and grow our affiliates. Third party validation is an important key to success.
- Social media – Manage organic and paid posts to build awareness and sales.
- Conversion Optimization
- Manage and evolve our Shopify website to optimize the user experience, increase conversions and help visitors achieve their goals.
- Consistently A/B test to discern winning design/content.
- Relationship Building
- Reach out for co-marketing opportunities with complimentary companies and key customer groups.
- Develop relationships with peers and industry experts. Get outside our office (virtually and irl) to make connections and get new ideas.
- Amazon
- Manage product pages and listing optimization. Create and update A+ and branded store content.
- Mange ad spend to build sales and grow margins.
- Manage
- Marketing Coordinator – Well versed in all things Tread Labs, this person will look to you for guidance and feedback.
- Vendors - Select and manage a small group of vendors to leverage our brand for greater awareness. Be vigilant. Maintain high standards for quality execution.
- Budget - Help create the annual marketing budget – income from D2C sales and related expenses. Monitor that budget throughout the year, maintaining the balance between profitability and growth.
- Measure
- Use Google Analytics, Google AdWords and 1st
party data to inform decision making and prioritization.
- Maintain the marketing section of our company-wide data center to ensure that everyone is aware of your success.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelors (or more) in marketing, computer science, entrepreneurship, or related fields.
- A minimum of 5 years of successful digital performance or brand marketing. Especially relevant is experience with footwear, outdoor, athletic or consumer products.
- Recent, proven success in several of these disciplines: copywriting, email/SMS marketing, social media, Google AdWords, website UX design, affiliate management, graphic design, Google Analytics and Amazon marketing.
- Total mastery of the Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Proficiency with the Adobe suite of graphic tools.
- Ability to prioritize and complete projects in a timely manner.
- Stellar verbal and written communication skills.
